“The Pitt” won best drama series for a second consecutive year at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards, while “Widow’s Bay” claimed the top comedy prize during a ceremony that mixed new winners with record-setting veterans.
Noah Wyle won best actor in a drama for “The Pitt.” Rhea Seehorn took lead actress in a drama for “Pluribus,” while Matthew Rhys won lead actor in a comedy for “Widow’s Bay.”
Jean Smart extended her remarkable run with a fifth consecutive lead-comedy-actress Emmy for “Hacks.” The victory brought her career total to eight acting Emmys, placing her alongside the most decorated performers in the award’s history.
“DTF St. Louis” won best limited series, while Sally Field received the lead-actress prize in the limited-series category for “Remarkably Bright Creatures.” The ceremony was hosted by Mariska Hargitay.
