Live-entertainment technology company Fever has raised $250 million in a new equity financing round led by EQT, giving the company additional capital to expand its platform for concerts, exhibitions and other in-person experiences.
Fever described the round as the largest primary equity financing completed by a live-entertainment technology company. Point72 Private Investments, Baillie Gifford and existing investors also participated.
Live experiences draw capital in an AI-heavy market
The company is framing the investment around a simple thesis: as more digital tasks are automated, demand for shared in-person experiences remains difficult to replicate online. Fever said its revenue has more than tripled over the past three years while the business has maintained positive EBITDA.
Its platform combines event discovery, ticketing and data tools for producers and cultural organizations. Fever says its partner network includes Formula 1, the Palace of Versailles and Primavera Sound, alongside a wide range of local venues and event creators.
Expansion and technology are the next priorities
The new funding is expected to support international growth, acquisitions and continued investment in the company’s technology stack. Fever has been building a global marketplace that uses recommendation systems and demand data to help decide where new experiences should launch and how they should be marketed.
The financing also reflects a broader shift in venture and private-equity interest toward businesses that combine software with physical-world demand. For Fever, the challenge will be converting its expanding user base and cultural partnerships into durable margins while maintaining the quality of the events marketed through its platform.
