The U.S. Justice Department said it seized seven internet domains used by hackers linked to China’s Integrity Technology Group in a new effort to disrupt attacks on critical infrastructure.
U.S. officials allege the company supports a hacking group known as Flax Typhoon, which has been accused of espionage and reconnaissance operations targeting networks in the United States and abroad.
Second major disruption effort
The Justice Department previously disrupted a botnet tied to Integrity Tech in 2024 that had compromised more than 250,000 consumer devices worldwide.
The latest action targets infrastructure used to scan and probe systems for vulnerabilities.
China’s Foreign Ministry said Beijing opposes hacking and called for cooperation on cybersecurity risks.
