SoftBank is reportedly seeking up to $100 billion from Gulf investors for a new wave of AI investments and acquisitions.

SoftBank Group is reportedly seeking to raise as much as $100 billion from Gulf investors to fund a new wave of artificial-intelligence investments.

The Financial Times reported that CEO Masayoshi Son has held discussions with senior officials in the United Arab Emirates and potentially other Gulf states.

Another massive AI capital drive

SoftBank has already committed tens of billions of dollars to AI-related investments, including a major stake in OpenAI.

The new capital could be used to acquire companies and expand infrastructure tied to artificial intelligence.

Reuters said it could not independently verify the reported fundraising plan and SoftBank had not commented publicly.
