At least 28 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in a major Russian missile and drone attack across Ukraine on October 7, according to Ukrainian officials.
The deadliest strike hit a residential building in the northern city of Pryluky, where authorities said 20 people were killed, including children.
Energy infrastructure was among the targets
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia launched dozens of missiles and drones and again targeted Ukraine’s energy system.
Ukraine reported improved drone interception rates but said ballistic missiles remain difficult to stop without additional Patriot and other advanced air-defense systems.
Russia said its strikes were directed at military-industrial targets. The attack came as fighting and strikes on energy facilities intensified on both sides.
