Harry Kane matched Peter Shilton’s record of 125 appearances for England’s men’s team and marked the milestone with two goals in a 3-0 Nations League win over the Czech Republic at Wembley.
The captain also contributed to the opening goal, adding another decisive performance to a national-team career already defined by scoring records.
Kane closes in on another landmark
Kane’s two goals lifted his England total to 91, extending his record as the country’s leading men’s scorer. Jude Bellingham and manager Thomas Tuchel praised the striker’s consistency and influence after the match.
Shilton, who held the appearance mark for decades, congratulated Kane and said he expected the forward to move beyond the record in his next international outing.
The night also reinforced Kane’s status as England’s central figure heading toward the next major tournament cycle. He has combined durability with elite scoring output across more than a decade in the national team.
