A crowded week of entertainment releases is bringing new music, films, television and games to audiences, with projects ranging from Carly Rae Jepsen’s new double album to a coming-of-age movie about a young Anthony Bourdain.
Jepsen’s “Day & Night” expands her synth-pop sound across a two-part release, while country star Luke Bryan returns with his ninth studio album, “Signs.” On screen, “Tony” stars Dominic Sessa in a story inspired by Bourdain’s youth on Cape Cod in the 1970s.
Television additions include the 35th season of “Dancing with the Stars” and a new season of “Slow Horses.” A restored version of Satyajit Ray’s 1970 film “Days and Nights in the Forest” is also reaching streaming audiences through the Criterion Channel.
Gaming releases add another layer to the week, led by “Marvel’s Wolverine” on PlayStation 5 and “Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave” on Nintendo’s Switch 2.
