French AI infrastructure company Sesterce plans to invest more than €10 billion in a data-center development in Finland.
The project would rank among the largest foreign technology investments announced in the Nordic country.
Finland gains from power and cooling advantages
Finland has attracted data-center investment because of its relatively cool climate, stable power grid and growing supply of low-carbon electricity.
AI workloads require enormous amounts of power and cooling, making energy availability a central factor in site selection.
Sesterce’s plan adds to a broader European race to expand computing capacity for artificial intelligence.
