Matthew Stafford threw four touchdown passes and Davante Adams delivered his biggest receiving performance since joining Los Angeles as the Rams beat the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday night at SoFi Stadium.
Stafford completed 22 of 31 passes for 327 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Adams caught eight passes for 195 yards and two scores, giving the Rams a decisive advantage despite wide receiver Puka Nacua being inactive with a hip injury.
Rams took control through the air
Los Angeles broke a scoreless first quarter when Stafford found Adams for a 31-yard touchdown. A second-quarter scoring pass to Kyren Williams made it 14-0 before the Giants managed a field goal.
Stafford connected with Adams again in the third quarter, this time on an 11-yard touchdown, then added a fourth touchdown pass to tight end Terrance Ferguson in the final period.
The Rams’ defense also produced a major swing when Trent McDuffie intercepted Jameis Winston. Aaron Donald, making his 2026 season debut, contributed to a third-down stop that limited New York to a field goal.
Giants lose Dart early
New York quarterback Jaxson Dart left with a knee injury after the opening drive and did not return, forcing Winston into the game. The Giants also dealt with injuries elsewhere during the night, adding to a difficult offensive performance.
Adams’ 195 receiving yards ranked among the best single-game totals of his long career. For Los Angeles, the win restored momentum after the opening part of the season and showcased the Stafford-Adams connection as a potentially decisive part of the offense.
