Global equity funds attracted $34.76 billion in net inflows in the week through September 30, extending a second consecutive week of positive flows despite elevated bond yields.
LSEG Lipper data cited by Reuters showed U.S. equity funds leading the move with $20.6 billion of inflows, followed by Europe and Asia with just over $6 billion each.
AI spending remains a major support
Investors continued to respond to strong demand signals from the artificial-intelligence supply chain. Large cloud companies are expected to keep capital spending high, while memory and semiconductor suppliers have reported strong order visibility.
That optimism has helped equity demand even as government borrowing costs remain near multi-decade highs.
Flows were not uniformly positive
Technology-sector funds actually recorded withdrawals, showing that investors are not simply buying every AI-linked asset. Financial and utility funds attracted money, while high-yield bond funds saw outflows.
Money-market funds posted particularly large withdrawals, suggesting investors shifted cash into other assets during the week.
Fund-flow data can change quickly and do not necessarily predict future market direction, but they provide a useful snapshot of where investors are allocating capital.
