Marvell Technology raised its long-term revenue outlook as demand for custom silicon and networking components used in artificial-intelligence data centers continues to accelerate.
The company now sees fiscal 2028 revenue around $20 billion, above earlier expectations, and expects its custom-chip business to become a much larger contributor over the following years.
Cloud customers want alternatives to standard AI accelerators
Large technology companies are increasingly designing specialized processors for their own AI workloads. Marvell supplies custom silicon and the high-speed connectivity needed to link processors, memory and data-center networks.
The company has said AI-related bookings remain exceptionally strong and expects growth to accelerate through the remainder of fiscal 2027. Reuters reported that Marvell shares rose after the updated targets.
Marvell’s forecast gives investors another gauge of the scale of spending behind the AI infrastructure buildout, which has already lifted demand across chips, power equipment and data-center networking.
